John graduated from Kent State University in 2002. While at Kent State, John worked in almost every position at the student-run TV station, TV-2. He began his career at WBOY in Clarksburg, W.Va. where he spent three years as a reporter and fill-in anchor and weather forecaster. He then spent several years at WCAV in Charlottesville as an anchor and producer.
John became interested in broadcasting at a young age, when he began recording himself reading the day’s news into his family’s video camera. Outside of the station, John enjoys exploring the national parks with his wife. He also enjoys travel and home improvement.
