Nina grew up right outside of Philadelphia in South Jersey. She interned for two summers at FOX 29 in Philly and graduated early from Montclair State University.
After graduating, Nina was part of the original news team that launched "SNJ Today," a former news station that concentrated on South Jersey. Over the three years she worked as a reporter/MMJ there, she covered a variety of stories; the state of NJ taking over Atlantic City and its finances, multiple hurricanes that hit the Jersey shore, Presidential candidates visiting prior to the 2016 election, and even flew in an old WWII plane over the area.
In April of 2018, she accepted a job to anchor and produce at WHSV. At the station, Nina is responsible for producing the 6:00 p.m. weekday newscasts and anchors WHSV News at 5:00 and 6:00. Her favorite part of working at WHSV is helping the reporters grow and getting to live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
Since moving to the Valley, Nina has been super involved with the Valley community. In 2018, she helped raise thousands of dollars during the "Dancing with the Stars of the 'Burg" competition, benefiting the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Child Daycare Center. In 2019, she co-hosted the event with Bob Corso. Nina has also volunteered or emceed at events such as Top Chef Harrisonburg, Day of Service, March of Dimes, Walk of Dimes, and Walk to End Alzheimer's.
In her spare time, Nina is an avid reader, likes to explore nearby areas/cities, spends a LOT of time with her two cats (Luna and Minerva), and enjoys visiting different eateries with her coworkers ... especially ice cream shops.
