AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- It's a new year and that means new agendas for the Augusta County Board of Supervisors.

The board met Wednesday for the first time in the new year for their organizational meeting.

The board elected a new Chair, Tracy Pyles, and a new Vice Chair, Terry Kelley.

The board said this year they hope to continue keeping the financial house in order, keeping taxes low and also looking ahead with plans for the courthouse.

"We're going to have to look at all of the options that are out there. Take everybody's thoughts into consideration. Do what we think is best in constant with that the people voted for," said Pyles.

The board hopes this year goes smoothly.
