California lightning and rain causes evacuations
From Santa Monica to Malibu, rain, thunder claps and multiple lightening strikes sent life guards screaming for people to get out of the water immediately and evacuate the beaches.
Lightning prompted the evacuation of all beach areas in Santa Monica and the closure of Malibu beaches on Wednesday.
Storms not only hitting the beaches.
Dark clouds and rain pelting several areas throughout Southern California.
Glendale, Hollywood and Westwood seeing showers.
People at the Santa Monica beach say they didn't hesitate to heed the warning to get out of the water, leave and take shelter when the lightening lit up the sky.
