On May 11, crews with Staunton Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire at 2308 Davis Street just before 2 a.m. The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported at the time.

The home is just north of Montgomery Hall Park.

Just over one month later, fire marshals completed their investigation into the fire and ruled out all accidental causes, leaving them with the conclusion that someone deliberately started the fire.
