Crews respond to fire at Red Roof Inn in Staunton

Early Friday morning, crews responded to a three-alarm fire at the Red Roof Inn in Staunton.

According to officials on scene, flames were showing through the roof when they arrived, but firefighters managed to safely evacuate everyone in the building.

The fire started around 1 a.m., but the cause has not yet been determined. Fire marshals will work to determine that through investigation in the coming days.

The inn is located off of Sangers Lane, right near Exit 222 of Interstate 81, not far from Hometown Grill and Buffet and Mrs. Rowe's Family Restaurant.
