Downtown beauty supply shop opens in Airstream trailer

A new shop has opened in downtown Harrisonburg inside an old Airstream camper, selling homemade beauty products.

The owner of "WithSimplicity," Irina Dovganetskiy, makes most of the products herself. After she noticed her husband getting cracked lips, she began to experiment with products.

"It's one of those dreams that I really dreamed of doing," said Dovganetskiy, "and actually doing this, it's been amazing and the community has been very supportive."

She first started a store on the website Etsy before finally opening in downtown.

"I really have to up my batches from my five creams per batch, it's a little too small," she said of her move from Etsy.

Dovganetskiy moved to America from Russia almost twenty years ago. She had another space in mind at first, but when that wasn't available, she thought of food trucks and the idea of the Airstream was born.

The store in the parking lot in the southeast corner of Court Square is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
