Fallen tree knocks out phone lines for some in Pendleton County

PENDLETON COUNTY, W.Va. (WHSV) — If you live in Pendleton County and have been having problems with your phone line on the morning of May 17, a fallen tree could be to blame.

A statement from Hardy Telecommunications says that they're experiencing a partial service disruption due to a tree that fell and cut a fiber cable near the Pendleton County line, just off South Fork Road.

They say some customers may experience delays in making calls or get a message telling them that "all circuits are busy when our alternate route is full."

Crews with Hardy Telecommunications are working to repair the severed cable, but they could not offer an estimated time of repair.
