Former Spotswood teacher pleads guilty to soliciting minor
A former Spotswood High School teacher arrested in March after allegedly having sex with a student was ordered to serve ten months in jail.
Alisha Largent, of Harrisonburg, pleaded guilty to criminal solicitation of a minor in court on Thursday, Sept. 28.
While she was sentenced to ten years in jail, the judge suspended most of that time.
She was originally charged with indecent acts with a child by a person in a supervisory relationship, but that charge was not pursued.
Search warrants previously revealed Largent
to investigators she was having sexual relations with a 17-year-old student.
Largent was also ordered to serve probation for four years following her jail sentence.
