AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) — A Greenville man was killed when the motorcycle he was on struck a car along Route 11 on Saturday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.

71-year-old Raymond Clark was pronounced dead at the scene after the force of the collision threw him from the bike.

The car, a 1999 Toyota Camry driven by 90-year-old John Burchett Jr of Staunton, was making a U-turn onto the main highway from a private drive when the motorcycle hit its driver's side door, police said.

Burchett was taken to Augusta Health for non-life threatening injuries and was charged with reckless driving.
