The Waynesboro Police Dept. released new video evidence in a burglary investigation Friday afternoon.

On Facebook, the police department said:

The Waynesboro Police Dept. is investigating a burglary that occurred the morning of May 26, 2016 at the nTelos Store located at 740-F Town Center Dr.

Officers responded at 4:35 a.m. to a business alarm at the store and found the front door shattered. Upon entry they cleared the building finding no one inside. However, they discovered that the storage room and an office had been forcibly entered. Clear evidence was present that the unknown suspects had ransacked supplies of cell phones and other electronic devices. An exact inventory of stolen items is pending further inspection by the business.

No arrests have been made. The case remains active while investigators review video evidence. It is possible that this incident is linked to crimes and similar events in other jurisdictions.

Persons with information regarding this case are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-2017 or Detective Jamie Dunn at 540-942-6543.
