HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- The release of Beyonce's new album "Lemonade" has been creating a lot of discussion surrounding some serious issues including race, marriage and infidelity, topics many can relate to.

The album, also released as a 1-hour movie on HBO, alludes heavily to Beyonce's husband, rapper Jay-Z cheating on her.

Sean Slevin, a marriage counselor in Harrisonburg, says that couples can work through infidelity, however it does take work. Slevin says that sometimes, affairs do have an element of fantasy to them.

"Infidelity happens partly as a symptom of things that are not working well individually and as a couple, that the couple hasn't known how to talk about, how to address, how to work through," Slevin said.

Yet, in a study by J-Date and ChristianMingle.com, nearly a quarter of singles would consider marrying someone who was unfaithful to them while dating.
