New brewery opens

Thursday afternoon, Congressman Bob Goodlatte and Del. Steve Landes helped owner Craig Nargi cut the ribbon at Stable Craft Brewery.

Leaders shared their excitement about the tourism and economic opportunities the new business brings, including five full-time jobs and six part-time jobs, with the potential for more.

"When you have that kind of support from the people and the leaders in the community it just says hey you need to keep doing what you're doing, keep growing," said Nargi.

The brewery is part of the already-working horse farm and wedding venue called Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables, located at 375 Madrid Rd., Waynesboro. The brewery will produce 1,000 barrels a year --possibly growing to 2,500.
