Quadriplegic artist gives back
Bruce Dellinger started drawing after he became a quadriplegic following a farm accident when he was 14. After trying different art media, Dellinger found his passion.
Drawing these detailed pictures using a pencil and his mouth. On Wednesday, Dellinger gave back to to the Wilson Workforce Development Center, which helped him with rehabilitation.
"My doing this, it's allowing me to give back to my community who's given so much to me," said Dellinger.
Dellinger said the donation is just in time for Memorial Day. The piece he donated today is dedicated to U.S. service members.
So far, Dellinger has drawn more than 100 pieces, his goal is 300.
"Regardless of your disability, there is always something you can do in life, whether that's employment, developing your own business, going through life and just being productive," added Dellinger.
