ORIGINAL STORY (Feb. 14):
At the scene, Virginia State Police told us an SUV swerved off the road. It then hit a guardrail, a telephone pole, and a tree before flipping over into a creek --and then catching on fire.
Troopers said the man had serious injuries. He was taken to Sentara RHM and troopers said he would likely be flown to UVa Medical Center for more advanced treatment.
We're still working to confirm his identity and condition.
This is a developing story. We will bring you more detail as information comes in from our inquiries and from official sources.
