HARRISONBURG, Va (WHSV) - You can be a good neighbor when you go out shopping this weekend. Don't forget to pick up a toy to donate to a child in need in the Valley.
Toy Convoy kicks off next week.
For 19 years, WHSV has been partnering with the Salvation Army to help collect toys and other items that will be going to children all across the Valley.
The goal is to provide gifts for infants to children as old as 12.
Many businesses in the Valley participate, including Wal-Mart and Burger King.
"The feeling that one gets when they can give to a worthwhile organization like the Salvation Army and Toy Convoy is overwhelming. It's just a great feeling," said Keith Wright, the managing owner of Mountain Valley Corporation.
There are many locations you can drop off toys. Collection begins on Monday.
