Rt. 11 reopens after overturned tractor trailer shut down lanes

UPDATE (1:15 p.m.):

All lanes of Route 11 in southern Augusta County have reopened after an overturned tractor trailer across the median near the intersection of Pilot Truck Drive cause lane closures for much of the morning into the afternoon.

UPDATE (11:25 a.m.):

As crews continue to work to clear an overturned tractor trailer from the median of Route 11 not far from the Rt. 11/Rt. 340 junction in southern Augusta County, more lanes have been closed.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the northbound left shoulder, left lane, and right lane are closed. The southbound left shoulder, left lane, and center lane are now closed.

Traffic is getting by on both sides by using the right turn lanes.

Drivers along Rt. 11 can expect some delays on Tuesday morning near the Rt. 11/Rt. 340 junction in southern Augusta County.

Near Pilot Truck Drive, off of Exit 213 from Interstate 81, a tractor trailer has overturned across the median of Route 11.

As crews respond to the scene, the northbound left shoulder and left lane, as well as the southbound left shoulder and left lane have been closed.

The right lane on each side of the highway remains open, allowing traffic to get through.
