AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- On Tuesday night, people from the Stuarts Draft area came out to share their concerns about the traffic lights along Route 340 in Stuarts Draft.
The plan is to add lights to intersections to cut back on travel time and reduce the number of rear-end crashes that happen along the road.
MIke Twitchell was one of the many who came to the meeting on Tuesday, he's hoping something is done.
"On 340 at White Hill Road, it seems like when I'm traveling south, eight out of ten times, I get the red light, so I was wondering if maybe if they could look into that issue," Twitchell said.
VDOT will be out on Wednesday to monitor traffic lights. They hope to have the project done by the winter.
People can still contact VDOT for their concerns on the project at 540-332-9144
