A Valley youth pastor's daughter was laid to rest Monday following an accident involving a swing set.
Keepes Funeral Home in Mount Carmel, Il listed five-year-old Callie Paige Woods' obituary.
It said, "Callie was a very vibrant young girl who had a spectacular love for life. She loved to dress up like a princess but could also be found muddy playing in creek. Like most little girls, Callie loved her shoes especially high heels. Callie had a very close relationship with her brother Maddox. She looked up to her big brother with lots of love and admiration. She was very fond of animals. Callie kept busy with crafty & artsy projects and considered herself to be an artist. She was registered to start kindergarten at Wilson Elementary School. Callie’s parents were on staff at Bridge Christian Church and Callie was very active in the Church. She loved Jesus and was always asking questions about Jesus and Heaven."

A Valley youth pastor's daughter passed away following an accident involving a swing set Thursday.
According to WSJD in Mount Carmel, Il, the Wabash County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call about a five-year-old girl who had a swing set fall over on her Thursday. The girl was five-year-old Callie Woods, of Waynesboro.
Her father, Zach Woods, is the student pastor at Bridge Church in Fishersville. Ashlei Woods is the children's pastor at the church. The church confirmed the accident to WHSV over the phone.
WSJD reported Woods was taken to Wabash General Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
WSJD said, "The Wabash County Coroner's Office is assisting the Sheriff's Office with the accidental death investigation. Other agencies involved were the Mt. Carmel Fire Department and St. Mary's Life Flight."
On Facebook, Stuarts Draft's Ridgeview Christian School said, "Please join us in praying for peace and comfort for Zach, Ashlei, Maddox, their family and the entire Bridge Church community. And join us in praying that God minister to hearts during this time."
Members of the Bridge Church say this Sunday, August 7, a special service will be held to support the family.
Churchgoers say they will have a 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. service. Adult Sunday School will be canceled this week. Sunday School for high school and middle school students is also canceled. Children's Sunday School classes are expected to stay the same.
