Eastbound lanes of Rt. 250 reopen after vehicle fire near Afton

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- UPDATE (12:38 p.m.):

All lanes are clear on Route 250 after a vehicle fire temporarily shut down eastbound traffic near the entrance to Skyline Drive, east of Waynesboro.


A vehicle fire has shut down all eastbound lanes of Route 250 in Augusta County.

According to VDOT, a vehicle on fire about 1.2 miles east of Waynesboro, near Afton, has led to a closure of eastbound traffic.

This is in the vicinity of Afton Circle, near the entrance and exit ramps (Exit 99) to I-64.

Entrances to Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway are also in this area.
