Explanation of why WHSV News at 5 and 6 did not air on March 9

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) — UPDATE (6:34 p.m.):

The technical difficulty which disabled an intranet server at WHSV was unfortunately not resolved by the end of the timeslot for WHSV News at 6. Our signal went out at about 5:10 p.m., but we held two Facebook Live videos in the meantime.

As of 6:34 p.m., the situation was resolved by WHSV's engineers as World News began airing on ABC. All issues are taken care of, and WHSV's News at 11 and Valley's Fox at 10 will air as usual.


WHSV is currently experiencing major technical difficulties with a server at the station that provides intranet service, causing us to be temporarily off the air.

Our engineers are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. In the meantime, commercials will run as our master control team cannot provide content.
