WAYNESBORO, Va. (WHSV) — A Waynesboro man has been arrested on drug and gun charges after police found stolen weapons at a home not far off of Main Street.

On the morning of March 19, members of the Skyline Drug Task Force (a coalition of narcotics investigators from around the southern Shenandoah Valley and Virginia State Police) executed a search warrant for narcotics in the 1300 block of 10th Street in Waynesboro.

At the scene, investigators found three weapons – two of which were found to be stolen from the surrounding area.

Based on that evidence, three felony warrants were obtained for 47-year-old Tony Fleming of Waynesboro for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Fleming was not at the home when police showed up, but they had reason to believe he was at another home in the 200 block of South Delphine Avenue.

Officers immediately headed there with another search warrant, where they took Fleming into custody and found cocaine in his possession.

Fleming was then charged with possession of cocaine, in addition to the three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
