There are a lot of events going on around the Shenandoah Valley this weekend — here are a few you can head out to.
This Saturday, you don't want to miss the Benefit Spring Music Fest at the Verona Community Center, starting at 7:00 p.m. It will be an evening of great music, featuring blue grass, barbershop, gospel and golden oldies. Find more information here.

The first annual trout fishing tournament in Luray is Saturday at the Hawksbill Greenway from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It is a joint fundraiser for Stanley Volunteer Fire Department and Page County Valley Lodge 65, fraternal order of police There is also a youth fishing derby at Gypsy Hill Park. It's the last weekend of the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester. The festival has more than 40 events, including band competitions, dances, parades, carnival, dinners, luncheons, and even a wine festival. Find more information here.
On Sunday, in Waynesboro, it's the annual Petpawlooza at Coyner Springs Park. Bring your furry friends for contests and prizes. Pet-related vendors and booths, as well as pet adoption and rescue agencies, will be there. Find more information here.
