Mountain Valley Pipeline fighters documentary debuts in Blacksburg

A documentary was unveiled Thursday night at the Lyric Theater in Blacksburg, showing the fight of the New River Valley against the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
focuses on protests over the last two years and hears from local and national activists.
Producer and Director Marino Colmano got involved because he felt strongly about the issues with fossil fuel extraction.
He explained, "For me, it seemed like the elective subconscious of the people is really crying out for sustainable resources to enhance a better world for our children and grandchildren. So I really needed to get on board."
MVP has said, "Natural gas is a clean, cost-effective energy source for meeting the growing demand of both consumer and industrial markets; and with pipelines being a safe and reliable method of energy transportation throughout the United States, new pipeline infrastructure is necessary to bring that gas to market in the southeast region."
