The decrease in temperature can be a problem with some fruits already starting to bud. It’s something that farmers and vineyards are keeping an eye on.
“I am actually from a firefighter family,” Kellie Sacksteder explained. “My grandpa was a firefighter, my dad in his steps, my brother after him, so I sort of grew up in the environment but at that time there weren’t really females in that space.”
BASE participants receive help with the transition to college life through early-move-in and personal campus tours, academic and social support from program mentors, and are set up with career counseling among other services.
