Chola bhatura


2 cans chickpeas drain and washed
4 tbs oil
2 tsp amchur powder (dried mango powder)
2 tsp roasted cummin powder
1-2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
2" of ginger Finley chopped
1 jalapeno seeded and Finley chopped
Salt to taste
1 large pureed tomato

Onions finely chopped
Cubed tomatoes
Lemon wedges

1 large potato boiled and grated
2c white flour
Salt to taste


Heat oil in a frying pan on medium heat, then add the ginger and jalapeno fry for 1 minute. Then add all of the masalas and spices and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add the chick peas and cook for 5-10 minutes. Then add salt to taste. Garnish with onions, tomatoes, cilantro and lemon wedges.

Mix every thing together except the water until the potatoes are thoroughly incorporated, the add the water the water a few table spoons at a time until u have a semi soft dough. Then divide the dough into small balls, then roll them out into circles and fry in hot oil until both sides are golden brown.
