SWOOPE, Va. -- Brad Wygant has been named the new head football coach at Buffalo Gap High School. Athletic Director Andrew Grove told the news to WHSV Wednesday afternoon.

Wygant joins the Bison from rival Wilson Memorial where he served as an assistant coach for the Green Hornets, most recently as defensive coordinator for the last four years. He has also been the head boys soccer coach at Wilson Memorial for the last eight years.

Wygant replaces Andy Cline who stepped down as head coach following the 2018 season.

Buffalo Gap went 7-5 last season and advanced to the second round of the Region 2B playoffs.
