Dukes earn vote in Coaches Poll

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women’s basketball received a vote in the USA Today Coaches Poll. This is the Dukes first time receiving votes in the national poll since March 14, 2016, when they received three votes holding a 27-5 record.

JMU has compiled a 20-4 overall record while currently rolling on an eight-game win streak in league play. The Dukes also rank in seven categories in the top-10 nationally including being second in the nation in field goal percentage defense (31.8) and third in the nation in scoring defense (50.4).

The Dukes have a three-game road trip with a weekend trip to Elon and William & Mary. JMU’s 8-4 road record will be put to the test first against the Phoenix on Friday, Feb. 22. The Dukes defeated Elon 82-30 and took down William & Mary 65-48 in the Convocation Center earlier this season.
