Former JMU football RB Marshall signs UDFA deal with Chiefs

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Former James Madison running back Marcus Marshall has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent.

Marshall confirmed the news to WHSV Monday night. Sources close to the JMU football program also confirmed Marshall's signing.

In two seasons at JMU, Marshall ran for 1,296 yards and scored 18 total touchdowns. He transferred to James Madison from Georgia Tech.

After going undrafted, Marshall earned rookie camp invites with both the Chiefs and Tennessee Titans. He posted the following picture on his Instagram page Monday evening:
