Quin Houff's "dream" rookie season on the NASCAR Xfinity Series circuit will continue at Kentucky in September.
The Weyers Cave-native told WHSV News this week that he'll be back on the track for the first time since failing to qualify at Kentucky back in July.
Houff met with fans in the Valley at the Rockingham County Fair this week, giving back to the community that has supported him during his first year in NASCAR.
The 19-year-old driver has had mixed results so far this season, finishing 15th in his debut at Bristol Motor Speedway. His best result was in Iowa where he placed 12th.
But Houff looks forward to redemption at Kentucky Speedway after his car spun out in qualifying last month.
"We actually had a bit of a slip up in Kentucky, not gonna lie," Houff said. "But I'm getting used to these mile and a half tracks. I'm a rookie and we did really well and didn't seem like a rookie at the short tracks, finishing inside the top 15 and almost in the top 10. People didn't expect that. We went to Kentucky had a slip up but we're going to go back there and hopefully put on another good show for everyone."
