HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The James Madison women's basketball team is preparing for the start of Colonial Athletic Association play.

The Dukes begin CAA competition with a pair of road games this weekend. JMU visits Delaware Friday night before a contest at Drexel Sunday afternoon.

JMU enters CAA play as the favorite to win the conference crown. The Dukes were chosen first in the preseason poll. James Madison enters conference competition after posting an 8-3 record in non-conference play.

"I think we had the opportunity to really be 10-1 coming out of non-conference (play) and really have some genuinely good momentum," said head coach Sean O'Regan. "I still think we do...being 8-3."

"There are going to be some challenges. Every conference team out there right now says they're 0-0 and it's a fresh start."

The Dukes and Delaware and will face off for a 7 p.m. tip-off Friday in Newark, Delaware.
