HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The James Madison softball team features one of the best offenses in the country.

The Dukes currently lead the nation in scoring at over eight runs per game (8.26) and have the second highest team batting average at .349.

A big part of JMU's offensive success comes from hitting the long ball. The Dukes have hit a program-record 93 home runs in 2019 and rank third in the country with 1.72 home runs per game.

JMU opens NCAA Tournament play in the Ann Arbor Regional Friday afternoon. The Dukes play DePaul in the first game of the regional at 2 p.m. It can be seen on ESPN3.
