Riverheads snaps Page County's 43-game winning streak

STAUNTON, Va. -- The Riverheads baseball team defeated Page County, 2-1, Thursday evening to snap the Panthers' 43-game winning streak.

Aidan Miller delivered a walk-off hit to the lift the Gladiators to victory.

Page County's winning streak dated back to the 2018 season. The Panthers are the defending Class 2A state champions and won 18 straight games to start the 2019 campaign. With the loss, Page falls to 18-1 overall (14-1 Shenandoah District).

Riverheads, the defending Class 1A state champion, improves to 18-2 overall (14-2 Shenandoah District).
