The James Madison men's basketball program is coming off a 10-22 record during the 2017-2018 season.

Despite the struggles with the win-loss record, JMU Director of Athletics Jeff Bourne is confident in the program's future.

"I went back and looked at the number of games that we lost by a narrow margin and looked in some cases, how we lost those games," said Bourne. "Those are all things that I see being changed by (head) coach (Louis) Rowe and I think he has a phenomenal group of young men back. I think they are very talented."

The Dukes lost nine games by five points or less during the 2017-2018 campaign.
