UVA preparing to face Oregon in Sweet 16

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The No. 1 seed Virginia men's basketball team is preparing to face No. 12 seed Oregon in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

UVA advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament with wins over No. 16 seed Gardner-Webb (first round) and No. 9 seed Oklahoma (second round). The Cavaliers are led in scoring by redshirt sophomore guard De'Andre Hunter who is scoring 15.2 points per game. Junior guard Kyle Guy is just behind Hunter with 15.1 ppg.

Oregon advanced to the South Region semifinals with an upset win over No. 5 seed Wisconsin (first round) before defeating No. 13 seed UC Irvine in the second round. Freshman forward Louis King averages 13.4 ppg while junior guard Payton Pritchard adds 13.0 ppg.
