Virginia advanced to the National Championship game after a thrilling, 63-62, win over Auburn in the Final Four. Junior guard Kyle Guy made three free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining to clinch the victory. UVA has wins over Gardner-Webb, Oklahoma, Oregon, Purdue, and Auburn in the NCAA Tournament.
Texas Tech earned a chance to play for a national title after defeating Michigan St., 61-51, in the Final Four. Senior guard Matt Mooney poured in 22 points to led the Red Raiders past the Spartans. Texas Tech has beaten Northern Kentucky, Buffalo, Michigan, Gonzaga, and Michigan St. in the NCAA Tournament.
