Senior running back J'Wan Evans stars on the field for the East Rockingham Eagles football team.

"When I think about football, I'm like yo, that's my world like, when I got that rock in my hand, ain't nothing like it," Evans said. "When I'm on the field, I can't even hear fans. I zone out. It's me… Against you. And I ain't losing."

"The competitiveness and fire in his belly to compete on a nightly basis, on Friday night there is just something, he turns into a different person when those lights come on," East Rock head football coach Donnie Coleman said. "You know to give him the football."
