WHSV will provide comprehensive, live coverage of James Madison football's road contest at William & Mary on Saturday, October 21 through its subchannel, MyValley starting at 3:00pm.

Sports Director David DeGuzman will anchor a 30-minute pregame show leading up to kickoff of the 40th meeting between the in-state rivals from the WHSV Studios in Harrisonburg. He will also anchor halftime coverage, with first-half highlights and stats as well as scores and highlights from around college football that afternoon.

Play-by-play commentator Jay Colley and analyst Mike Leach will call the game from Zable Stadium in Williamsburg.

"This collaboration between James Madison University and WHSV proves our commitment to covering local sports," WHSV News Director Jay Webb said. "We're thrilled to partner with JMU to bring our viewers Saturday's game from Williamsburg on our MyValley line-up. It's been another exciting season for Dukes football fans, and we're [WHSV] proud of what Coach Houston, his staff and his players have accomplished."

JMU football is off to a 6-0 start this season and currently owns an 18-game winning streak, the longest active streak in all of Division I football. Last Saturday, the school hosted ESPN's College GameDay for the second time in three years, ahead of the Dukes' contest against Villanova, which Madison won 30-8.

"Our TV coverage this year has been the most comprehensive that it's ever been. Bringing road contests back to our local fans in Harrisonburg is a huge piece to that," JMU Athletic Director Jeff Bourne said. "We are excited about this partnership with WHSV and hope that this will open the door to more similar opportunities in the near future."

In a series that began in 1978, JMU has won 22 of the 39 all-time meetings, while W&M owns a 12-9 advantage in games played

in Williamsburg. The teams have split the last four matchups with each team winning a pair of games on its home field.

MyValley is available to viewers on the following systems:

- Over-the-air: 49.4

- DirecTV: 50

- Comcast: 2

- Lumos: 10
