Federal immigration officials say they have arrested a Virginia restaurant owner on charges he knowingly employed and harbored illegal immigrants.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say they arrested Kiet Boc Bui Wednesday. He is accused of employing at least seven illegal immigrants, not keeping payroll records for the workers, paying them in cash and not reporting them to the Virginia Employment Commission.
Bui, a Centerville, Virginia resident, owns three Viet House restaurants in Virginia. ICE officials say he did not file tax documents for any of the employees who were paid in cash, although employers are required to complete such employment eligibility paperwork within three business days after an employee is hired.
