WOODSTOCK -- April is child abuse prevention month. Throughout the month Response, Inc in Shenandoah County has been spreading awareness of child abuse through pinwheels.

Each pinwheel is supposed to represent hope and happiness that every child deserves.

Organizers tell WHSV they have helped more than 130 kids in the Valley in the last year. One out of four girls and one out of five boys will be sexually assaulted this year.

If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or if you are in need of shelter, call the Response 24-hour Hotline at 459-5161
