HARRISONBURG - UPDATE: 7:15 p.m. 12/22/2014
The call for the fire came in at 5:56 p.m. Monday.

An automatic fire alarm went off as smoke filled the building. A truck caught on fire inside the business and workers tried to get it out of the building as more fire crews arrived.

Everyone was evacuated from the building. The Harrisonburg Fire Department is still investigating how the fire began. Damage is limited to the vehicle that caught fire. Four engine companies responded to the call.

Multiple fire crews from the City of Harrisonburg are responding to a fire at Dave's Recycling.

Emergency dispatch confirms this is a working structure fire.

There is no word on how large the fire is or what is burning.

In 2008, firefighters say, a damaged trash compactor caused a fire that destroyed Dave's Recycling Center at its former location on South High Street.

We have a crew on the way for an update.
