HARRISONBURG (WHSV) -- Blood, glass and debris were all that could be found after a deer crashed through a window in a building housing a Harrisonburg day care.
The owner of the building says it happened early Wednesday afternoon. No one was hurt.
The deer crashed through a window and into a room next door to "A Smiley Day Care" in Harrisonburg.
Maira Contreras said she was working in the day care in the room next to the crash.
"We were sitting down for nap time at our teacher's desk and we heard a loud crash," Contrera's said. "We weren't sure if it was a car that went through the window. I got up and went to see what it was, and I saw the glass shattered and a bunch of blood laying on the floor."
The deer managed to escape the building through the window it originally crashed through. All it left behind was some fur, broken glass, and small puddles of blood on the vacant room's floor.
"Yeah, it was [scary]," Contreras said. "We weren't sure what was going on. We got the kids and went out and called the police."
