A former Egyptian police officer living in northern Virginia after seeking asylum in the United States is doing his part to oust President Hosni Mubarak.
Omar Afifi fell out of favor with Egyptian authorities three years ago when he wrote a book called "So You Don't Get Hit on the Back of Your Neck." It advised Egyptians on how to avoid police brutality.
In recent weeks, Afifi has used widely disseminated YouTube videos to advise Egyptian youth on how to hold demonstrations and foil security forces.
Afifi has set up a one-man command center in his Falls Church apartment with multiple computers and cell phones running.
He says he's confident the demonstrations will succeed and Mubarak's government will fall.
