STAUNTON, Va. -- Mockingbird, a restaurant known for its music and locally-sourced food, is closing. The owner said Sunday will be the last day Mockingbird is open.
One Mockingbird customer said he will miss the venue.
“I think it's sad that it's leaving. It has been good for Staunton. It has been another venue for entertainers. I've enjoyed it when I've been here,” said Dick Delahay, a customer.
While the owner wouldn't say why it's closing, he did say the closing will be hard for employees. He also said there will be free musical acts until the last day.
