A Virginia judge on Tuesday upheld much of a new state law that expands background checks for gun buyers but issued an injunction preventing it from being enforced on buyers between 18 to 20 years old.
After opening a store in Waynesboro last year, Shenandoah Hemp Supply already set up a new shop in Harrisonburg. Owners Lee and Amber Magalis wanted some artwork for the new store, so they turned to some Waynesboro High School students.

The authorized search was for firearms, ammunition and any “manifest and/or documentation to support the frame of mind the suspect may have had prior to and during the officer-involved shooting,” according to court documents.
