Two people were hurt in an early morning fire in Staunton Tuesday.
Firefighters were called to the 500 block of West Johnson Street around 6:30 a.m.
One of the tenants of the multi-family home reportedly ran out of the home yelling, "fire, fire."
Crews say the flames were big and were coming out of windows.
Smoke was seen billowing for some time after the fire was extinguished.
According to officials on the scene, the fire was so hot, it burned through one of the metal ladders they were using to battle it.
Staunton Fire Chief Scott Garber says, "Yes, very dangerous for all of our personnel involved, occupants that were involved, but we have no injury other than the occupants we rescued out of the building."
Fire investigators are still looking for the cause and source of the fire.
There is no word on the victims' identities or their conditions.
