Three Hurt in Waynesboro Crash with Rescue Squad Vehicle

Waynesboro Police and Virginia State Police are investigating a triple-injury crash involving a Waynesboro First Aid Crew vehicle and a Nissan.

Sgt. Kelly Walker with the Waynesboro Police Department says the crash happened around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of West Broad Street and Wayne Avenue.

The driver and passenger were extricated from the Nissan. The driver was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center in critical condition. The passenger was transported to Augusta Health.

The driver of the First Aid Crew vehicle was also injured.

This crash remains under investigation by Waynesboro Police and the Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team.
