Two People Injured in Car Crash Saturday Morning

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY -- Two people were injured in a car crash Saturday morning and were rushed to the hospital.

Around 8:30 A.M. the 16-year-old driver lost control of a 1996 Plymouth Van. He was headed south bound on Pleasant Valley Road, near Spaders Church Road and hit a telephone pole.

Virginia State Police said the driver lost control of the van and was rushed to Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

The passenger was a 14-year-old female and was rushed to U.Va Medical Center.

The crash is still under investigation.
