WAYNESBORO, Va. (WHSV) -- The Waynesboro Police Department says they have charged a Waynesboro City woman with Disorderly Conduct after she had a tantrum at Kate Collins Middle School earlier this month.

Dawna Sue Henderson, 37, went to the school's main office on the third to last day of school and was upset because her child was not allowed to participate in an end of the school year activity.

Henderson pushed items that were on the desk onto the floor and slapped an item out of the principal's hand when she tried to hand it to Henderson. Parents and several students were in full view during this incident.

The staff told Henderson to leave, which she did, only after shouting obscenities at school employees.

Henderson is now free on a personal recognizance bond.
