West Virginia University Recieves Grant for Diabetes Research

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. West Virginia University has received a $321,900 federal grant for diabetes research.

WVU researchers will use the funding to study microparticles.

U.S. Senators Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin say the research could lead to better treatment and management of diabetes.

They announced the grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases on Wednesday.
